Pinkins serves more 'Milk'
Tonya Pinkins has became a member of the cast from the approaching Off Broadway manufacture of new play "Milk Like Sugar."Actress, who won a 1992 Tony on her perf in "Jelly's Last Jam" and much more lately was nommed for "Caroline, or Change" in 2004, presently seems within the cast from the play's world preem at La Jolla Playhouse. Eisa Davis was aboard to star within the show at Playwrights Horizons but has since dropped out because of a movie commitment, based on reps.The Off Broadway version will change the whole La Jolla cast to Playwrights Horizons, in which the show starts previews the following month.Kristen Greenidge's play focuses on an inner-city teen girl whose possibility of more is potentially impeded with a pact she created using her buddies. Pinkins plays the protag's mother inside a staging helmed by Rebecca Taichman on shorelines.Gotham bow of "Milk," created by Playwrights and also the Women's Project, starts previews March. 13 in front of a November. 1 opening.
